TRAINING ON HUMAN RIGHTS WITH MASAI WOMEN IN ARUSHA

Dr Veronica Buchumi , Principle Human Rights Courses Coordinator at the Institute , offered a special training to pastoralist women human rights defenders under the consultation and support of the Pastoralist Women Council ( PWC) in Arusha earlier this month. Among other things , the trainees were able to learn general introduction to human rights, the concept of human rights defenders, understanding the intersection of gender and human rights, challenges facing local women HRDs and how to overcome them, available protection mechanism for HRDs, understanding Conflict resolution strategies and skills as well as stress management for WHRDs. @thrdcoalition@p.w.c_tanzania @cwhrdstz @olengurumwa2 @womenfund_tz @defenddefenders
